Job summary

James McHugh Construction Co. is seeking a Project Engineer to support project management tasks, including processing RFIs, submittals, ASIs, and construction directives.

You will assist in managing documents, updating schedules, and coordinating with the project team and subcontractors under the Project Manager's supervision. You will work within the Operations Department, collaborating with safety, accounting, legal, HR and marketing to ensure project success and clear communication with all

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in engineering, construction management or related construction field.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with problem-solving ability.
• Experience with multiple computer software products.

Responsibilities

• Draft and track RFIs and submittals to Architect/Owner for review and approval.
• Maintain revisions log of contract documents with updated drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate work with superintendent and subcontractors to ensure clear communication.
• Collaborate with safety, accounting, legal, HR and marketing departments.
• Enforce safe working standards on projects and ensure high quality of work.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
