D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation's largest homebuilder, is offering a Summer 2027 Construction Internship.

Interns gain hands-on experience through departmental rotations, project work, and field-based activities, with exposure to homebuilding processes and customer experiences. Current students entering junior or senior year or recent graduates pursuing related degrees will support daily operations, assist with projects, and learn company policies and safety requirements in office and jobsite

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area (business, technology, finance, construction, etc.).
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within D.R. Horton business functions.
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, ask questions, and contribute in a professional team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function.
• Assist with department-specific projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes, and other business needs assigned.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to gain an understanding of how various areas of the Company support homebuilding, homebuying, business operations, and the overall customer experience.
• Participate in training programs, meetings, departmental rotations, and other learning opportunities designed to enhance knowledge of the Company, assigned function, and potential career paths.
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses that may lead to future full-time employment following graduation.
