The program emphasizes training, collaboration across teams, safety, and exposure to career paths within D.R. Horton’s diverse services including construction, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area (business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, HR, marketing, operations).
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within D.R. Horton businesses.
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a professional team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and business partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software as needed.
• Ability to adapt to office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes, and other needs.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, policies, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how various areas support homebuilding and customer experience.
• Participate in training programs, meetings, rotations, and other learning opportunities.
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses leading to potential full-time employment after graduation.
