D.R. Horton is seeking a Construction Intern to gain hands-on experience across departments, including field and office settings.

You will rotate through teams, assist with project-based tasks, and learn the company’s processes and safety standards while building foundational skills for a career in homebuilding. Ideal candidates are undergraduate students in good standing, pursuing related fields, and motivated to learn about the homebuilding industry.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college and entering junior or senior year or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area (business, technology, construction, etc.).
• Interest in opportunities within homebuilding or related functions.
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department or jobsite.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Learn department responsibilities, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand company operations.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and departmental rotations.
• Explore future full-time opportunities after graduation.
• Perform tasks professionally, ethically, and with customer focus.
• Occasionally travel or work overtime as needed.
