Job summary

Benco Construction, Inc. is seeking an on-site HR Generalist to support onboarding, recruitment, engagement, and workforce management across field teams and leadership.

You’ll drive performance processes, maintain HR records, and ensure compliance with labor laws while partnering with managers to build a strong workplace culture. The role requires 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and proficiency with HRIS/ATS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of HR generalist experience; managerial experience preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong recruitment and engagement skills; promote company culture.
• Knowledge of labor regulations and data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, payroll and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
• Support managers in performance management and coaching.
• Recruit, hire, train, and coach staff with feedback and development.
• Maintain top-tier employee relations and engagement for field workers and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and update HR policies.
• Develop staffing plans and analyze labor market trends.
• Manage departure process and confidentiality during separations.
