Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a skilled estimator to perform a range of estimating tasks for construction projects. You will prepare cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, and research material and labor costs to support bids and project planning.

Using Timberline and related tools, you will develop Opinions of Probable Cost and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors. Some travel may be required as projects vary geographically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Utilize Timberline to prepare OPCC and design-build costs.
• Prepare and review prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in pre-bid walks and Bid-Day quote tabulations.
• Develop schedules and conduct cost analyses for projects.
• Support project controls team with project reporting and change management.
