Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an estimator who can perform basic to moderately complex costing tasks for varied construction projects. You will use Timberline to develop opinions of probable cost and coordinate with project managers to gather pricing data and prepare bid packages.

You will support field and project personnel, review submittals, manage RFI responses, and help develop schedules and cost analyses. Travel up to 10% may be required as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related estimating or construction management experience preferred.
• Experience with cost data, takeoffs, and bid preparation is desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and researching costs.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare or assist in OPCCs and design-build projects.
• Receives and reviews pricing data from project managers and procurement.
• Performs scheduling and financial analyses for routine reporting.
• Supports field personnel with submittals, RFIs and change management.
