Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator to perform cost estimating, quantity take-offs, and preparation of Opinions of Probable Cost for various construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with project goals.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules and support project

Qualifications

• Proven ability to identify moderately complex problems and analyze causes.
• Excellent computation and data interpretation skills.
• Strong reading/interpretation of construction documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Prepare or assist in OPCCs and design-build project estimates.
• Coordinate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers; support pre-bid activities.
• Develop schedules and financial analyses for project reporting.
• Assist in managing small to mid-size construction project portions.
