Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Director of Construction in San Francisco to oversee construction management, planning, scheduling, and cost control across wind energy, PV solar, and BESS projects.

The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Construction and requires leading cross‑functional teams, coordinating with design, vendors, and contractors, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience supervising and/or managing direct reports.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction management, planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Develop project execution plans and manage 3rd party contractors.
• Coordinate with design teams and vendors to meet timelines.
• Provide weekly/monthly status reports to the VP of Construction.
• Ensure projects comply with contracts and specifications.
• Maintain records and budget updates for each project.
