Job summary

Travelers in Minnesota seeks a Claim Representative to manage, evaluate, and process construction-related claims with accuracy and empathy.

You will work with policyholders, claimants, providers and internal teams to determine eligibility, coverage and settlements while maintaining thorough documentation and professionalism.

Three years of claims experience and a Bachelor's degree are required, along with strong analytical, negotiation and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience in insurance claims.
• Experience with claims management software.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and terminology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to negotiate settlements and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality claim handling of construction claims including contact with customers, coverage evaluation, investigation, reserving, negotiation and settlement in line with company policies.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, providers and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates; determine claim eligibility, coverage, liability and settlements.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of claim files and transactions.
• Identify and escalate potential fraud or complex claims for investigation.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as investigators, legal and customer service as needed.
