Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Claims professional to manage construction-related claims, evaluating coverage, investigating details, reserving, negotiating, and resolving files in line with policies and state regulations.

You will communicate with policyholders and providers, determine eligibility and settlements, document thoroughly, and flag complex or fraudulent claims for investigators, with opportunities for robust benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in insurance claims, preferably construction claims.
• Experience with claims management software.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and policy language.
• Proven ability to handle complex claims and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality claim handling of construction claims including customer contacts, coverage, investigation, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution in accordance with company policies, compliance, and state specific regulations.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, providers, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
• Determine claim eligibility, coverage, liability, and settlement amounts.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of claim files and transactions.
• Identify and elevate potential fraud or complex claims for further investigation.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as investigators, legal, and customer service, as needed.
