Job summary

ARCO in Southfield, MI is seeking a Director of Business Development to pursue new clients nationally. This leadership role focuses on expanding ARCO’s client base and market presence across food & beverage, cold storage, and related sectors.

You will work closely with marketing, operations, and project teams to craft and execute a strategic sales plan. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in business development or related sales leadership, with proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools, and

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of new business development experience.
• Direct sales experience in food & beverage, cold storage, light industrial/manufacturing or commercial sectors is highly preferred.
• Design-build experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in business development software (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Pipedrive).

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish top of mind awareness.
• Research and analyze key economic factors influencing market activity in niche markets or geographic areas.
• Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay abreast of market conditions and establish relationships with new clients and prospects.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with marketing, project management, and operations teams.
• Travel as needed, up to 40%.
