Job summary

ARaymond Network in Michigan is seeking a Business Development Manager - Construction to drive growth in the local construction segment. You will lead strategic BD initiatives, manage key client relationships, and collaborate with engineering and sales teams to translate market needs into actionable product opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in business development or sales.
• 5+ years in mechanical engineering or product development.
• Experience with construction panelization industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to engage with clients and translate needs into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manages the business development and performance of the construction segment for the local organization including long term vision, product roadmap, CSR objectives, budget and KPI setting.
• Provides direction and mentoring to the sales and engineering team to ensure goals are met.
• Collaborates with engineering and sales to identify opportunities and specify market requirements for next-gen products.
• Supports IP portfolio management, design quality, and supplier selection with cross-region coordination.
• Pursues new customer opportunities and develops long-term relationships from research to deal closure.
• Communicates technical concepts effectively to clients, engineers, and project teams; coaches for improvement where needed.
• Responsible for pricing, costing and forecasting with global coordination.
• Promotes products after consulting with marketing; contributes to local business plans and budgets.
