Job summary

Crescent Electric seeks a Construction Account Manager to build and maintain strong customer relationships while achieving sales and gross margin goals. You will prospect, price, and propose solutions to meet customer needs, using Crescent's CRM to manage accounts and plan growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combo.
• Previous knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution industry and construction sales experience.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to travel up to 25% with overnight stays.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and product knowledge.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop a business plan for assigned accounts in Crescent's CRM tool; grow sales volume.
• Regularly make in-person sales calls to prospective and current customers; demonstrate products.
• Price bills of material for industrial customers and recommend alternatives when needed.
• Use a conservative sales approach to upsell and expand product/service adoption.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with construction customers and suppliers.
• Address and resolve customer requests promptly; communicate policies to customers.
• Provide feedback on competitive conditions and customer needs to management.
• Collaborate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
