Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Co is seeking a Construction Account Manager to build and sustain long-term customer relationships while meeting sales and gross margin goals. You will prospect, quote, and close opportunities, guide customers with product solutions, and collaborate with suppliers to maximize account profitability.

In this role you will travel up to 25% to visit construction customers and promote Crescent's broad portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution industry and previous construction sales experience.
• Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time with overnight stays.
• Comprehensive computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and product knowledge.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
• Interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self-starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Develop a business plan for assigned accounts in Crescent's CRM; grow sales and profit in the territory.
• Make in-person sales calls to prospective and current customers; price bills of materials.
• Sell add-ons and upsell products; suggest alternatives when a requested product is unavailable.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with construction customers and suppliers.
• Resolve customer requests promptly and communicate policies clearly.
• Collaborate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
• Execute sales ethically to reflect well on Crescent Electric and the sales team.
