Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Lateral Intake Specialist to support the firm’s risk management by handling conflicts of interest through onboarding of lateral candidates. You will research corporate structures, summarize conflicts findings, and generate reports while collaborating with the New Business Intake Lateral Team and partners.

The role requires clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a hybrid office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm environment preferred.
• Strong business writing and communication skills.
• Experience with conflicts intake processes and software preferred.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts conflicts research on corporate structures of potential clients and adversaries.
• Reviews, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes conflicts search results for reporting.
• Generates conflict reports and follows up on conflict requests, often urgent.
• Provides guidance to Analysts and Counsel on conflicts and resolution.
• Communicates with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests and resolve conflicts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
