Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Lateral Intake Specialist to support conflicts of interest reporting during onboarding of lateral candidates. The role involves researching corporate structures, analyzing conflicts search results, and generating reports.

The position collaborates with Conflicts Analysts and the New Business Intake Lateral Team to resolve conflicts. The role requires strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced law firm

Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to conflicts scenarios and adapt to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research on corporate business structures and history of potential clients.
• Reviews and summarizes conflicts search results for reporting.
• Generates conflict reports and follows up on requests, including urgent matters.
• Performs quality control checks on conflict reports before delivery.
• Explains potential business and ethical conflicts to Conflicts Analysts and Counsel, aiding resolution.
• Communicates with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests and resolving conflicts.
• Other duties as assigned.
