Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, budget, implement and report on compensation policies to attract and engage colleagues. You will analyze market data from salary sources, collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition partners, help define job levels, administer merit and bonus programs, and support compensation practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, at least 1 year of compensation experience, strong Excel skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of compensation experience.
• Broad based compensation experience preferred.
• Accounting or finance background acceptable in lieu of comp experience.
• Strong Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing market data from salary market sources to ensure compensation is competitive in the relevant market.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to enable Talent Acquisition to offer attractive compensation packages.
• Supporting job hierarchies by inputting and refining the organization's levels and roles within a hierarchy.
• Administering bonus plans aligned with performance goals and rewarding employees based on individual and company performance.
• Administering merit and other compensation practices with stakeholders.
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Broad Based Compensation experience is strong preferred.
• Candidates in the Virginia Beach geographic area strongly preferred.
