Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, budget, implement and report on compensation policies to attract, retain and engage colleagues. The role requires analyzing salary market data and collaborating with leadership to offer competitive packages.

Responsibilities include market data review, stakeholder collaboration for compensation, supporting job hierarchies, administering bonus and merit programs, and leveraging HRIS/payroll systems with advanced Excel

Qualifications

• 1 year of compensation experience
• Broad based Compensation experience
• Accounting or Finance background (in lieu of comp experience)
• Work day experience (preferred)
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Reviewing market data: Analyze data from various salary market sources to ensure the organization’s compensation is competitive in the relevant market.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders: Provide specialized insights that enable the Talent Acquisition Team to offer attractive compensation packages to prospective colleagues.
• Supporting job hierarchies: Share input in defining the various job levels and roles across the organization and positioning them within a hierarchical structure.
• Bonus plans: Administer bonus plans that align with the organization’s performance goals and motivate and reward employees based on both individual and company performance.
• Administering merit: Responsible for supporting various stakeholders in administering merit and other compensation practices.
• Strong candidates will have a high level knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems, Microsoft Office Suite and strong Excel user skills with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets is required.
• Broad Based Compensation experience is strong preferred
• Candidates in the Virginia Beach Geographic Area strongly preferred
