Sentara Health is seeking a Compensation Analyst in Norfolk, VA to design, budget, implement, and report on compensation policies that attract, retain and engage colleagues.

You will work with compensation leadership and HR business partners, using market data to inform pay decisions and support it with robust analyses. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and accurate data handling in a fast-paced health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of compensation experience.
• Broad based compensation experience preferred.
• Accounting or Finance background accepted in lieu of compensation experience.
• Strong Excel skills required; experience with HRIS/payroll systems.
• Work day experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review market data from salary sources to ensure competitiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Talent Acquisition to shape compensation packages for prospective colleagues.
• Assist in defining job hierarchies and placing roles within a hierarchical structure.
• Administer bonus plans aligned with performance goals to motivate employees.
• Administer merit and other compensation practices across the organization.
• Leverage HRIS/payroll systems and advanced Excel for complex analyses.
