Job summary

Sentara Health, based in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, budget, implement and report on compensation policies to attract, retain and engage colleagues.

The role collaborates with compensation leadership and HR business partners to analyze market data, manage bonus plans, support job hierarchies, and provide insights that drive competitive pay practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 1 year of compensation experience
• Broad based Compensation experience
• Accounting or Finance background (in lieu of comp experience).
• Work day experience (preferred)
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Review market data to ensure compensation is competitive in the relevant market.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to offer attractive compensation packages.
• Support job hierarchies and position roles within a hierarchical structure.
• Administer bonus plans aligned with performance goals.
• Administer merit and other compensation practices.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems and Excel for complex spreadsheets.
