Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, implement, and report on compensation policies that attract and retain colleagues. You will analyze market data, collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR partners, and help define job hierarchies to support a competitive pay strategy.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of compensation experience, strong Excel and HRIS/payroll skills, and a background in accounting or finance. Norfolk, VA-based role with full-time hours and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree is required.
• 1 year of compensation experience.
• Broad based compensation experience preferred.
• Accounting or Finance background acceptable in lieu of comp experience.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review market data to ensure compensation is competitive.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to offer attractive compensation packages.
• Support job hierarchies and role definitions within the organization.
• Administer bonus plans aligned with performance goals.
• Administer merit and other compensation practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and advanced Excel for complex spreadsheets.
