Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services is seeking a Care Attendant to provide personal care and health-related services for residents. The role supports physical and emotional wellbeing under the supervision of a Housing Manager.

Requirements include English literacy, ability to follow care plans, and compliance with dementia training and state background checks. On-call shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays with shift differentials and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACNA/NAR or HHA certificate preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read, write and speak English and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares and activities of daily living.
• Assist with dressing, grooming and oral care as assigned.
• Medication administration/assistance as delegated by RN.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to RN.
• Lead/assist resident activities as scheduled and assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and care plans as required.
• Attend training and dementia-related education annually.
