Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services is seeking a Part Time Care Attendant to provide compassionate personal care and health-related services for residents. The role includes assistance with ADLs, dressing, grooming, medication support as delegated by the RN, and promoting resident independence in a respectful, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications include English literacy and the ability to pass a state background check; ACNA/NAR or HHA certificates are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• ACNA/NAR or HHA certificate is preferred, but not required.
• Care Attendant must possess sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English, and pass a state background study form.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares including shampooing, showering, lotion, nails, and daily living activities as assigned.
• Assist with dressing, grooming and oral care as needed.
• Help residents use hearing aids and glasses and promote independence.
• Assist RN with treatments and observe/ report changes in health.
