Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services is seeking a Care Attendant to provide personal care and health-related services for residents, reporting to the Housing Manager.

The role requires empathy, ability to read/write English, and willingness to work an evening part-time schedule, including every other weekend. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities and following RN guidance on medications where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must pass a state required background study form.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares and activities of daily living.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, and oral care.
• Assist in use of hearing aids and glasses.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to RN.
• Medication administration/assistance as delegated by RN.
• Take vital signs as instructed.
• Assist with meal preparation and activities as directed.
• Follow safety and care plans, and HIPAA requirements.

Education

ACNA/NAR or HHA certificate
