Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Owensboro, KY seeks a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents with personal care, companionship, and daily activities, reporting to the Director of Nursing. You will help maintain dignity, independence, and a quality living environment, working closely with the care team to monitor health and comfort.

This role requires a High School diploma (or equivalent), preference for prior RA experience, CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency with MS Office and EHR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHR systems and HR-related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including grooming, hygiene, and nutrition.
• Respond to signals and intercoms promptly to assess resident needs.
• Record vital signs and fluid intake as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, dining, and activities participation.
• Support laundry, housekeeping, and dining room assistance.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
