Cedarhurst Living is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents with daily activities, companionship, and dignity. You will work under the Director of Nursing to promote independence and safety in a warm community setting.

The role requires strong communication, patience, and teamwork, with opportunities for training and career growth. Responsibilities include responding to call lights, assisting with personal care, and supporting residents’ social engagement.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools including Microsoft Office and HR/EHR platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with personal care needs including grooming, hygiene, dressing and nutrition.
• Respond to signal lights and determine residents’ needs proactively.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed by the care plan.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Help with dining, laundry, and housekeeping duties as needed.
• Encourage participation in activities and social engagement.
• Maintain clear communication with residents, families and staff.
• Follow resident care plans and infection control protocols.
