Job summary

Project HOME is seeking a compassionate Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in our Healthcare Services team. You will welcome patients, manage scheduling, registrations, check-ins/outs, and assist with copays while protecting confidentiality.

As a key member of our care delivery, you will coordinate with Benefits Counselors and Referral Specialists, support HIPAA compliance, and help patients access essential services in a respectful, trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of medical office experience.
• Experience with Practice Management Systems (prefer eCW).
• Knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
• Familiarity with NaviNet, PROMISe, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide professional, compassionate service.
• Manage scheduling, registration, check-in, check-out, and follow-ups.
• Verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate records.
• Use EHR systems to support scheduling and registration.
• Respond to inquiries with effective communication and de-escalation.
• Connect patients with Benefits Counselors, Community Health Workers, and Referral Specialists.
• Collaborate with staff to support efficient operations and patient experience.
• Protect HIPAA and confidentiality.
