Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative who serves as the first point of contact for patients at Mercy facilities, guiding them through scheduling, registration, and benefits verification with empathy and professionalism. You will perform pre-certification and financial clearance, document outcomes, and explain payment options, while ensuring accurate data entry and compliant communication.

Experience in healthcare terminology and insurance, strong organizational and communication

Qualificações

• High school diploma required; some college helpful.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• 1-3 years clerical and customer service experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule, register, verify benefits, pre-certify and obtain financial clearance for patients.
• Ensure accurate patient data is entered into the system.
• Communicate financial responsibility and payment options to patients.
• Assist with payment collection and referrals as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance guidelines and Mercy Service Standards.
