Job summary

Apploi hospice program seeks a compassionate Hospice Aide to support patients under RN supervision. You will perform personal care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor safety, and document observations to ensure quality, continuous care.

You must maintain confidentiality and work closely with the care team to support comfort and dignity for patients at end of life. This role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant course.
• NAC in the state of Washington.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Current Food Handlers Permit.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Understands hospice philosophy and terminally ill care.
• 1 year hospice/home health/long term care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills to document in EMR.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Communicate with patient and family using respectful, confidential care.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment during care.
• Assist with baths, grooming, oral hygiene, and linen changes.
• Assist in dressing, feeding, and mobility as assigned.
• Document observations and care provided in EMR.
• Report pain, symptoms, or changes to the RN Case Manager.
• Assist with transfers, ROM, and light housekeeping tasks.
