Job summary

Everstory Partners in Muncie, IN is seeking a Sales Counselor to help families select funeral and cemetery products and services with compassionate guidance. This role blends consultative selling, B2C sales, business development, lead generation, and community outreach to build strong customer relationships and develop new business.

Sales Counselors manage leads and activity through HubSpot CRM, guide families through purchasing decisions, and earn commission based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Commission-based, performance-driven environment experience.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for local visits.
• Must obtain and maintain state licenses/registrations as required within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorial products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through leads, referrals, networking, and outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete sales contracts.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, activities, and opportunities throughout the sales process.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Collaborate with funeral home, cemetery, operations, and leadership teams to ensure a positive experience.
