Job summary

Everstory Partners in Joliet, IL, is seeking a Sales Counselor to guide individuals and families through funeral and cemetery decisions with care and clarity.

You will meet with clients, sell pre-need and at-need services, and build a robust sales pipeline through inbound/outbound activities and community outreach. Requires a valid driver's license and occasional evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
• One year of experience in sales or related relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms preferred.
• Comfortable working in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment, including prospecting and lead generation.
• Strong sales communication, relationship-building, negotiation, consultative selling, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand their needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through lead generation, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and communities.
