Job summary

Everstory Partners in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Sales Counselor to guide individuals and families through funeral and cemetery product options. This role blends consultative B2C sales, relationship building, and community outreach, with a strong emphasis on service and empathy.

You will manage leads in HubSpot, develop a robust pipeline, attend events, and work with local funeral homes and cemetery teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
• One year of experience in sales or related relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Comfortable in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment.
• Strong sales communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Maintain discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must obtain state licenses/registrations within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through lead generation, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads and walk-in opportunities.
• Follow up with prospective customers throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads and sales activities.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Partner with funeral homes, cemetery, and location leadership to ensure a positive experience.
