Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor to work with individuals and families to understand needs and guide them through funeral and cemetery product options. You will build a robust sales pipeline through referrals, leads, and outreach, while maintaining relationships within the local community.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, B2C engagement, and collaboration with funeral home and cemetery teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of sales or related experience preferred.
• Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
• Ability to work in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to assess needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need services, cemetery property, and memorialization products.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline via inbound leads, walk-ins, referrals, proactive prospecting, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities; conduct follow-ups throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers, families, and local community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately; guide purchasing decisions and complete required contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, follow-ups, and sales opportunities throughout the process.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families and participate in community events.
