Job summary

Everstory Partners in Richmond, VA seeks a Sales Counselor focused on relationship-based, consultative B2C sales in funeral and cemetery services. You will guide families through product options, build a sustained sales pipeline, and manage customer activity in HubSpot CRM.

Earn commissions based on individual performance. The role includes meeting families, selling pre-need and at-need services, and representing the company at community events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency a plus (Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic).
• One year of sales experience (outside, B2C) preferred.
• Experience with CRM/lead-management platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, MS Dynamics) preferred.
• Comfortable in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment and prospecting for new business.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand their needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities; conduct follow-ups.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, follow-up activities, and sales opportunities.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
