Job summary

Honquest Family Funeral Home is seeking an energetic outside sales professional to establish relationships with client families and communities. You will guide families through cemetery options, schedule aftercare, and pursue referrals while maintaining strict compliance with regulations and company policies.

The role emphasizes revenue generation, confidentiality, and teamwork with funeral home staff. Candidates should have a four-year degree or equivalent and a valid driver’s license;

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
• Prefer college degree or some college required.
• Proven track record of success in outside sales production strongly preferred.
• May require the possession (or ability to obtain) an insurance license as required by applicable state law.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with client families to ensure needs are met at time of need or pre-need basis.
• Provide tours and guide families to cemetery lot location.
• Build relationships and seek referrals while attending services and visitations for client families; schedule and conduct aftercare to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with state and industry regulations and company policies; complete required documents and interment verification processes.
• Submit contracts and payments to the Business Office in a timely manner and maintain pricing integrity.
• Develop new prospects and community contacts through presentations at business locations and events to highlight products and services.
• Collaborate with other funeral homes and departments to deliver service exceeding family expectations.
