BRC - Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc. is seeking a Community Technician to provide frontline support for residents in a 24/7 program in Manhattan, NY. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and safety monitoring, with training provided for certifications and documentation duties.

This full-time position requires a compassionate, calm presence on Sunday-Thursday shifts, including overtime. Benefits include insurance, vacation, retirement plan, and tuition assistance.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds.
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally.
• Screen residents and visitors while maintaining dignity and security.
• Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan - training provided).
• Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes).
• Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance.
• Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep.
