BOWERY RESIDENTS' COMMITTEE, INC. in Manhattan, NY is seeking a Community Technician for an evening shift. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with mandatory overtime, providing essential support to residents and ensuring a safe, dignified environment.

You will respond to crises, engage residents with empathy, and document activities while pursuing training and certifications offered by BRC. This entry-level position emphasizes growth into case management roles.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds.
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally.
• Screen residents and visitors while maintaining dignity and security.
• Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan – training provided).
• Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes).
• Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance.
• Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep.
