Job summary

Northeastern University’s Community Service & Civic Engagement (CSCE) in Boston seeks an Operations Manager to lead the operational infrastructure, ensuring scalable program delivery across the CSCE team. You will oversee events, budgets, office systems, and staff onboarding to support mission-aligned operations.

Reporting to the Director of CSCE, you will collaborate with a wide range of staff and external partners to create efficient, impactful experiences for students and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in office management, program operations, or administrative coordination.
• Experience with budget stewardship and financial record-keeping.
• Experience with grant-related financial tracking is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; experience with Salesforce, WorkDay, and Concur preferred.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational logistics for CSCE-wide events and programs, including travel arrangements, room reservations, catering, supply procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Lead accurate and proactive tracking of CSCE program budgets; manage purchases, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
• Establish and maintain the operational systems that support day-to-day CSCE operations, including supply management and scheduling.
• Develop onboarding frameworks for new staff and student workers.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise 2-3 part-time student workers with mentorship and development.
