Job summary

Northeastern University, Boston, seeks an Operations Manager for the Community Service & Civic Engagement (CSCE) team to lead operational infrastructure, budgets, and office systems that scale program delivery and partnerships.

The role reports to the CSCE Director and collaborates across CSCE staff; you will supervise 2-3 student workers, develop onboarding, and drive efficient processes supporting experiential learning and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in office management, program operations, or administrative coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational systems and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with budget stewardship and financial record-keeping.
• Experience with grant-related financial tracking a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; experience with Salesforce, WorkDay, and Concur preferred.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing large-scale events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational logistics for CSCE-wide events and programs, including travel arrangements, room reservations, catering, supply procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Lead accurate and proactive tracking of CSCE program budgets in coordination with the Associate Director and Director; manage purchases, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
• Establish and maintain operational systems for the CSCE office, including supply management and staff onboarding.
• Recruit, hire, and direct 2-3 part-time student workers; set expectations and provide mentorship.
• Contribute to office-wide and division-wide committees, staff meetings, trainings, retreats, and special events.
