Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a General Manager to provide leadership to our community operations, aligning with Board directives and the organization’s mission. You will oversee day-to-day operations, staff performance, budget development, and compliance with governing documents and laws.

The role requires strategic planning, strong communication with the Board and stakeholders, and hands-on management of multi-department functions to deliver exceptional resident services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and three years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction.
• Seven years of community management experience, with at least four years supervising staff.
• Experience leading multiple departments or functions in a small/medium organisation.
• Knowledge of Condominium law, financial planning and property management regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License and state-mandated vehicle insurance.
• Commitment to obtain CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for short- and long-range plans to meet Board objectives.
• Review organization structure and roles; advise Board on changes.
• Partner with organizations to provide community services.
• Lead budget development and monthly financial review.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all staff.
• Ensure compliance with civil code, governing documents, and budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, property management and staff performance.
