Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a High-Rise General Manager to lead the community operations, aligning with the Board’s mission and vision. You will oversee day-to-day activities, ensure legal compliance, and manage staff, budgets, and vendor relations to deliver exceptional service to residents.

You will guide short- and long-term plans, monitor financial performance, and maintain strong communication with the Board and committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and three years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction.
• Seven years of community management experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing staff and multiple departments.
• Knowledge of Condominium law, financial planning and property management.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to achieve Board objectives and annual goals.
• Review organization structure and roles; recommend changes to the Board.
• Partner with organizations to deliver community services when needed.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff per management plan.
• Oversee budget development and monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with civil code and governing documents.
• Maintain emergency and evacuation plans; liaise with departments and outside agencies.
• Attend Board meetings and prepare reports and follow-ups.
