Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Community Association, including financial management, governance, and staff leadership. You will partner with the Board on budgeting, monitor financial performance, and coordinate with in-house counsel on collections and contracts.

The role requires extensive leadership, project management, and fiduciary responsibility, with a focus on creating a cohesive team and ensuring adherence to company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
• Minimum 7 years relevant work experience in hospitality, property or facilities management.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience and experience leading staff.
• Strong budget, fiduciary responsibility and financial recordkeeping knowledge.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to interact with board and counsel.
• CMCA/AMS certification is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Board with the annual budget and financial planning.
• Oversee daily operations and governance of the Community Association.
• Manage procurement, bid processes, and vendor contract negotiations.
• Prepare reports, agendas, and board packets in a timely manner.
• Supervise staff performance and enforce policies across the unit.
• Coordinate with attorneys, auditors and engineers as needed.
