Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago seeks a Community Concierge to welcome members, respond to inquiries, and help guests discover opportunities at our centers. You will greet people, answer phone and email inquiries, and actively manage customer transactions while partnering with staff to keep spaces clean and welcoming.

This role emphasizes engagement, accessibility, and service excellence, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred; flexibility for weekends/holidays; a high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Greet members and guests with a welcoming, professional demeanor.
• Provide accurate information and respond to inquiries via phone or email.
• Assist with customer transactions and payments as needed.
• Collaborate with Community Hub leadership to keep facilities clean and welcoming.
• Anticipate member needs to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and arrange restocking as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged
• Answer phone and email inquiries
• Actively manage customer transactions
• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times
• Anticipate individuals needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
