Job summary

The YMCA in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a part-time Community Concierge to greet members, answer inquiries, and actively manage customer transactions, delivering a welcoming and responsive service experience to all visitors.

You will support facility operations with leadership to ensure spaces are clean, restocked, and ready for program use; anticipate needs and provide exceptional customer care. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred; must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Earned high school degree or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged.
• Answer phone and email inquiries.
• Actively manage customer transactions.
• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times.
• Anticipate individuals needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
