Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s Foglia YMCA is hiring a Community Concierge to welcome members, greet guests, and help open the facility in the early morning. You will greet people, answer phones and emails, and process transactions to support a positive, seamless experience.

You’ll conduct hub tours, promote memberships, and assist community members with programs. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma/GED, flexible hours, strong communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage customer transactions
• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times
• Anticipate individuals' needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed
• Ensure front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Conduct hub tours responsive to the needs of prospective customers; sell memberships

Community Concierge team members serve as the face of the Y and support a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA.
Salary starts at $17.05 per hour and opportunities to grow within the organization
Scope and Responsibility

• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged
• Answer phones and email inquiries
• Actively manage customer transactions

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Earned high school diploma or GED
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed
• Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred
