Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to ensure effective collaboration with Volunteer Services across the assigned geographic area, mobilize partners, and manage readiness resources. The role involves deploying to disaster operations, coordinating with volunteers, and building community resilience in Southeast & Deep East Texas, Orange, TX.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years of leadership with volunteers, and a valid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster cycle services throughout the assigned area.
• Develop and implement disaster cycle services activities within the region.
• Engage and mobilize communities and partners with functional expertise and assets.
• Coordinate disaster relief operations in the assigned geographic area as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners and volunteers in a matrix management environment.
