Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to coordinate volunteer-led disaster cycle services in the assigned area. You will mobilize partners, ensure readiness resources, facilities, and supplies, and supervise volunteers to serve communities during disasters.

You’ll align with the mission through collaboration, deploying regionally as needed, and meeting training and capacity requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: lead a diverse volunteer team across disaster cycle services.
• Lead program execution of disaster cycle services within the assigned area or region.
• Develop disaster leadership volunteers and cultivate partnerships with community organizations.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
• Build relationships in a matrix environment with internal partners and volunteers.
