The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Community Concierge, Manager on Duty to lead front-desk operations at the Community Hub and deliver best-in-class customer experiences. You will greet members, handle inquiries, and coordinate with leadership to keep spaces safe and welcoming.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and can work weekday evenings and mornings. Ongoing YMCA trainings and certifications will be provided to support your growth and service excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
• Willingness and ability to complete all mandatory YMCA training and certifications within established timeframe.
• Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide operational leadership for front-desk operations, attendance, and administration.
• Greet community members and guests and ensure a welcoming, engaging environment.
• Monitor Community Hub for safety and service interventions; serve as first responder for emergencies.
• Answer phones and emails; manage inquiries and transactions efficiently.
• Support facility operations by coordinating with local Community Hub leadership and maintaining orderly spaces.
