Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Community Concierge, Manager on Duty to lead front-desk operations at the Community Hub and deliver best-in-class service. You’ll engage with community members, provide solutions, and support opportunities within the YMCA’s programs and services.

Role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide operational leadership at the Community Hub.
• Greet and assist community members, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies as first responder.
• Handle front-desk operations, attendance, and administrative tasks.
• Manage phones and emails, and resolve customer inquiries and opportunities.
• Coordinate with local leadership to maintain clean spaces and report maintenance needs.
